Frequently Asked questions

  • Not at all!
Our sessions are designed for everyone — whether you have years of creative experience or none at all. The focus is on the process of making, exploring, and connecting, not on artistic skill or final outcomes.

  • No — because our offerings are focused on personal growth and are not considered clinical therapy, sessions are not covered by insurance.

A limited number of sliding scale spots are available for art group to support accessibility of our programs. Please contact us directly to discuss.

  • Just yourself!
We provide all art materials. You’re welcome to bring a personal object to incorporate into your work if you’d like, but it’s not required.

  • At The Art of Together, we offer therapeutic art experiences, which use art-making as a tool for personal exploration, emotional wellness, and self-care.
While our founder is a trained art therapist, these sessions are not clinical therapy and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or provide mental health services.

If you are seeking formal art therapy for mental health treatment, we are happy to provide referral resources.

  • Group sessions are 1.5 hours long.

  • Every session offers both options.

    • If you feel inspired by a prompt, you’re welcome to use it as a starting point.

    • If you prefer to follow your own inner direction, you are encouraged to do so.
You can even switch between the two during a session — it's completely up to you.

We just ask that each person register individually to ensure we have space and materials ready for everyone.
