Our sessions are designed for everyone — whether you have years of creative experience or none at all. The focus is on the process of making, exploring, and connecting, not on artistic skill or final outcomes. -
No — our art centered approach is not considered a medical intervention appropriate to treat a diagnosis of mental illness. Instead we focus on holistic, preventative approach to overall wellness.
A limited number of sliding scale spots are available to support accessibility of our programs. Please contact us directly to discuss.

Just yourself! We provide all art materials. You’re welcome to bring any personal materials to incorporate into your work.
Please do not bring any alcohol or cannabis products. Light snacks and water are welcome.

At The Art of Together, we offer therapeutic art experiences, which use art-making as the primary tool for personal exploration, emotional wellness, and self-care.
While our founder is a trained art therapist, these sessions are not clinical therapy and are not intended to diagnose, treat, or provide mental health services.If you are seeking formal art therapy for mental health treatment, we are happy to provide referral resources.

Every session offers both structure and freedom in the creative process. Ellen believes strongly in personal choice as the foundation to the therapeutic art process. Every session will have both supportive, structured projects as well as the freedom to work independently on your own vision.
There is time for working and designated time for sharing within the 1.5 sessions.
